Burn Injury: Causes and Legal Help

If you believe that your burn injuries were caused by somebody's negligent actions or failure to act, contact a dedicated Ft. Myers burn injury lawyer at Viles and Beckman. By discussing the cause of the burns and the exact setting of the tragic event, the lawyer will be able to determine whether filing a personal injury lawsuit might be beneficial. While most people think of burn injury as rare trauma incurred in dramatic building fires, burns can be caused by a variety of disastrous events. Some of the more common sources of burn injuries include:

  • Building fires
  • Car crashes
  • Workplace explosions
  • Electrical burns
  • Steam burns
  • Flammable clothing burns
  • Thermal burns
  • Radiation burns
  • Chemical burns

Many of these burn injuries require immediate medical attention. Even if the burn appears to be minor, it is always a good idea to consult a medical professional. This will help minimize the risk of hidden damage and long-term consequences. If you suspect that your burn injury was caused by somebody's negligence, you should contact an experienced Ft. Myers burn injury attorney as soon as possible. Promptly initiated legal action can help preserve vital evidence and eyewitness testimony that are often invaluable in obtaining proper compensation.
